Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to start planning how you’re going to transform your garden! If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry. We’ve put together a simple guide that will show you how to create an amazing outdoor space in just 5 steps. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax or want to add a bit of colour, we’ve got you covered. So what are you waiting for? Get started today!

Plants

Plants are an extremely useful tool when it comes to creating different zones in a garden, so if you have areas of hard landscaping such as patios or decking, you can use plants to create a soft border between the hard and softer elements of your garden. Plants are also great for creating focal points in the landscape that draw people’s attention to certain areas such as sculptures or water features.

When it comes to finding the perfect plants for your outdoor space, there is always something to fit everyone’s taste, whatever their height, shape, colour, or texture. Plants can also help to create a sense of privacy in the garden, so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and secluded to relax during those hot summer days without being overlooked by neighbours, then plants are perfect.

Consider an Artificial Grass Lawn

Astro turf is a great way to transform your garden for summer. It’s easy to install, and it can be used to create a variety of different looks.

Before you start installing artificial grass, take some time to decide on the look you want. Do you want a traditional lawn look, or something more modern? Maybe you want to use artificial grass as a patio surface instead? Whatever you choose, make sure you have a clear idea of what you want before getting started.

It’s very important that you prepare the area before installing artificial grass as if it’s not prepared properly, it could affect its long-term performance and appearance. If there are any existing surfaces such as concrete or tarmac down already, these will need to be removed first – especially if you’re using synthetic turf on a patio or decking area instead of a lawn look Artificial grass can’t be laid directly onto concrete or tarmac, so you’ll need to lay a sub-base of gravel underneath instead.

Once you’ve decided on the look, measure the area that needs to be covered. Artificial grass is sold by the square metre, so you’ll need to know how much you need to buy. Artificial grass can also come in different widths of roll, so measure the area and then check with your supplier to see which widths they have available.

Furniture

Think about your needs. What do you want to use your garden furniture for? If you’re mainly using it for dining or relaxing, consider investing in pieces that are comfortable and spacious. If you require something that is practical and easy to move around, go for options like benches or tables with removable legs.

When choosing new garden furniture, it’s important to think about the style of your home and garden. There is a range of different styles available, from traditional to contemporary, so you can find something that will perfectly match your existing décor.

Outdoor furniture needs to be able to withstand the elements, so it’s critical to pick materials that are weatherproof. Timber is a popular choice for garden furniture as it is sturdy and long-lasting, but there are also a range of weatherproof plastic and metal options available.

Fencing

Summer is a great time to upgrade your garden fences. Fences play a significant role in the appearance and function of your garden, so it’s essential to decide the right type for your needs. There are many types of fences available, so it can be difficult to know which one is right for you.

Metal garden fences can be painted or stained to give them a fresh look for summer. Metal garden fences are also easy to paint or stain yourself! Wood garden fences can be stained or painted, but if you’re looking for something with more natural beauty than consider covering them up in climbing plants instead of repainting every few years like other types of wood fencing might require (or even better – just grow moss/lichen on your bricks). Brick and stone garden walls will last longer than any other type because they don’t need maintenance over time like most materials do.

Lighting

Adding lighting to your garden can make it look really nice. There are various styles of lights available, so you can choose the ones that best suit your needs. You can add solar lights to your garden to create a beautiful effect at night, or you can install LED lights to light up pathways and steps.

Solar Lighting: Solar lights are a great way to add lighting to your garden. They fit in well with the natural surroundings, and they look very attractive at night. You can get solar lights that shine down, or you can choose ones that have been designed, so they cast their light up into trees and onto plants. There are lots of different styles of solar lights available, so it is easy to find one that will suit your needs perfectly. The great thing about these types of lights is that they don’t need any power cables or batteries because they run entirely on sunlight during the daytime! That means there’ll be no extra cost involved when installing them either – just some simple DIY skills required if you want to do it yourself (or hire someone).

LED Lighting: LED lights are another option for garden lighting. They’re not as bright as solar lights, but they can still provide quite a bit of illumination when needed. You’ll need to buy some power cables and batteries if you want these types of lights installed in your garden because the battery will be inside each one – so there is an extra cost involved here (but it’s much cheaper than running electricity down from your house). It’s also worth noting that LED bulbs don’t last very long before they require replacing either!

Pathway Lighting: Pathway lighting is great for adding safety and security to your home or office building during the nighttime hours. This type of light fixture comes in many varieties, including wall-mounted or ceiling-mount options that are designed specifically for pathways, so you can see where you’re going without having to worry about tripping over anything in the dark. The bulbs used within these fixtures tend to be energy efficient too which saves money on your electric bill each month!

Step Lighting:

Adding step lighting to your garden building during the evening is another great way to enhance its safety and security. You can purchase a light source that is specifically designed for steps, giving you better visibility without the fear of injury. As well as being energy efficient, the bulbs used in these fixtures also produce little heat, making them safe to use near people and animals.

We Hope This Helps!

As you can see, there are many ways to update your garden in order to make it look better. Besides making sure that the plants you choose will thrive in your area and looking after them properly, adding trellises, arches or other garden structures, and adding an outdoor living space to your garden can also transform it. A well-kept garden will be a source of enjoyment all summer long.
