3 Simple Steps for Boosting the Curb Appeal of Your Business

Wondering how you can give your business a quick boost in curb appeal? The appearance of your business impacts the overall shopping experience that your customers receive, and a good first impression has the potential to create repeat clientele. Complete these three simple steps to ensure that your business wows customers old and new.

  1. Keep Paved Areas Clean

When you think about what makes a business look attractive and well-maintained, you might forget about the paved areas around your commercial space. These areas, including your parking lot and all sidewalks, receive a lot of use as you, your employees and your customers come and go. It only makes sense that these areas require some special attention so that they look nice and are safe for everyone to use.

Instead of spending your own time tending to your paved areas, hire an expert service to keep these areas clean and free from debris. The elements of nature throw a lot at your parking lot, and if you don’t keep it properly maintained you’ll have an expensive situation on your hands when paved surfaces need repairs or full replacements. To keep these areas in excellent condition, retain a professional service for reliable snow removal. By leaving this job to the professionals, you’ll feel peace of mind that your customers and your employees have safe, attractive areas to park and walk as they move about your property.

  1. Add Landscaping

When you think about what contributes to the overall curb appeal of a home, good landscaping immediately comes to mind. The same principle actually applies to the curb appeal of a business, too. If you only have a small area to landscape, consider adding a small fountain or rock garden to add some extra visual interest to your commercial space. Think about adding greenery and color near your entryway, as well. Install small planter boxes with a variety of perennials, which require very little care to stay beautiful.

If you have a commercial property with large areas of landscaping, it can be costly to create a landscape strategy to fill the space. Instead of planting flowers or hedges throughout the property, limit your plantings to the areas that are directly along the path to the main entry door.

  1. Invest in Season Decorations

You don’t have to invest a lot of money to give your commercial space a new look – simply purchase some quality seasonal decorations. Cheerful Halloween pumpkins, patriotic American flags and colorful Christmas decorations help the exterior of your business look fresh and ever-changing. That said, you need to be mindful of how long you leave these decorations up once a given holiday is over. Leaving decorations up makes your business look disorganized or overwhelmed. Stay on top of your seasonal decorations so that you send the right message to the public.

Customers remember the impression they receive when they shop at your business. Ensure that each customer’s experience is a great one by making these simple curb appeal upgrades to your retail space.
